I’ve actually transferred most everything (I’ll work on the rest..) from this blog over to one at Blogger – ladywhimsy.  Do visit me over there.

In about a month, I’m supposed to move to the country. That’s kind of weird for me, I’ve always been a city girl. I grew up here, in the city of Dallas.. and now, I’m supposed to move to the outskirts of the metroplex to somewhere I’ve only visited once – to see the home we’re apparently moving into. I’m almost completely unfamiliar with a country lifestyle, the lack of street lights and one-lane curvy country roads actually freak me out a little. It’s probably going to be culture shock, and definitely will take some getting used to.

Maybe I’m some kind of spoiled city girl, but I’m so used to driving just a few minutes in any direction to find what I’m looking for – for example, there are three Target stores within half an hour of where I live. It’s not going to be like that when I’m 20 minutes from the closest suburb. Weird!

Who knows, maybe I’ll end up loving it?

Shelfari is a pretty sweet social community, allowing users to create a virtual bookshelf of books they’ve read, want to read, and are currently reading.  I actually found this community while searching for a way to publish book reviews online – I figured a place where any reader with an opinion on a book could share it would be amazing, I’d rather read non-professional book reviews and have the ability to submit my own.  So.. this is what I found. :)  Join Shelfari, it’s fun!

Season 3 of Dexter premieres tonight on Showtime! :) I can’t wait!

This sweet duvet is from Life Modern, which states on their website, “You spend approximately a third of your life in bed, why not have a bed that looks good and is a bit different?”  Good point.

(Yes, I know the subject of this post is spelled wrong.. it’s kinda an inside joke between my sweetheart and I.)

On the subject of my sweetheart, we’ve begun canvassing! It’s a little weird, going door to door asking people to support a non-profit organization and contribute what they can (along with letter writing) but I’ve only been doing it a few days and definitely improving.

Making a difference by organizing my community is a pretty sweet way to spend my days.

My boyfriend and I went to this:

We originally had a Sierra Club meeting planned for this day, but we couldn’t pass up Ed Begley!  He was the keynote speaker, and did a very good job of entertaining as well as providing information.  It was especially inspiring that he had no speech prepared, he mentioned that he just speaks about what’s on his mind.

Good times! :)

I’ve officially fallen in love with these Vince Camuto shoes.. at some point I’m going to have to buy them (although I can’t afford them right now).  They’re gorgeous!  I’m reminded of something a bit different that Rachel Bilson was seen out in recently:

And, here’s the Vince Camuto shoes I so desperately want:

My boyfriend and I are seriously enjoying this channel. With shows like Renovation Nation and Emeril Green, we’re finding out lots of new ecofriendly information! :) We’re already very much into the environment and are knowledgeable about different projects and organizations geared toward saving the environment, but it’s nice to hear about new ideas. Improving the earth, even one small step at a time, is pretty sweet.

Been looking at Lulu’s, and I’ve decided I really like Jeffrey Campbell shoes.  These were my favorites:

Top row: Classic Ankle Strap Heel $82, Marly Old Cage Strap Heel $109, Expose Blue Snake Ankle Strap Flat $75
Second row: Flawless Knee High Boot $185, Diamond Khaki and Gem T Strap Sandal $43.50, Show 2 Black Suede and Snake Heel $92
